EXPERIENCE:

Mr. McCown has over 45 years land surveying experience. He has gained an extensive background in supervising field surveys in the performance of boundary, topographic, engineering design, route and construction surveying, right of way acquisition and title research; as well as, broad experience in office technical operations requiring the boundary surveys, topographic and engineering design surveys, construction staking, subdivision plats, right of way, and easement maps for utilities and streets. His wide variety of knowledge includes the use of Global Positioning System electronic data collection, conventional surveying equipment, first order geodetic leveling equipment, and mapping systems.

RECENT PROJECTS:

FM 2347, George Bush Drive at Texas A & M University - From FM 2818 to FM 2154 Right-of-way and design survey project: TxDOT Bryan District Contract No: 17-445P5001. Parcel maps, legal descriptions and right-of-way maps. Determine ownership information, prepare preliminary ROW and abstracting layout, prepare ROW map, field notes, and parcel sketches, recover and/or re-establish horizontal and vertical control, locate and tie existing ROW corners, property corners, improvements and trees. Coordinate with utility company, verify and tie horizontal/vertical utilities, provide profile and cross section information on the intersecting side streets, drainage ditches and railroads, verify profile and cross sections of the proposed roadway at 1000 foot stations along

the previously established cross section baseline of the project limits, stake PC’s, PI’s and PT’s of horizontal curves and at 1000 foot intervals. Monument proposed ROW PC’s, PT’s, 1000 foot stations, and intersection property corners. Verify planimetric, topographic, and cross section accuracy for the project. Provide temporary signs, traffic control, flags and safety equipment as required. Locate and determine elevations of geotechnical boring holes. IH 10 @ SH 12, Interchange to Alignment and topographic survey on connectors. Major Drive limits: Between IH 10 and FM 364 - TxDOT Beaumont District.

TxDOT Corpus Christi, SH 35 Relief Route from the north approach of the bridge at FM 1069 to the north right of way of FM 3036, collecting survey data for a DTM in Aransas County;.

TxDOT Laredo District - US 59 & SH 44 From Laredo to San Diego, Texas (90 Miles). RTK and field surveys for ROW mapping, monumentation and cross sections, utilities and drainage. Metric system. Field surveying for aerial mapping and design surveys for Freer and San Diego relief route.

US 54 Widening (41 miles) design survey, right of way mapping, field survey, and photogrammetry, G.P.S., from a 2-lane section to either a divided 4-lane section or a 4-lane section with a flush median from the end of the curb and gutter section at the West City Limit of Dalhart to the New Mexico State Line.

US 54 Widening (18.62 miles) field surveying and right of way mapping from 2-lane to divided 4-lane or 4-lane with flush median, North city limit of Stratford to Oklahoma State Line.

US 83, right of way mapping from the intersection of Garcia St. & US 83 N of Roma to Loma Blanca Rd. in Starr County.

US 83 from 0.5 miles East of FM 1423 to 0.5 miles East of FM 1015. This work is for the purpose of gathering information to formulate plans and specifications for the reconstruction of this facility. Right of way mapping. Provide data collection to establish a planimetric and DTM Microstation files using SDMS & CaiCE computer programs. Provide topography.

US 87 Widening -(23.37 miles) Right of way mapping, design survey, and field surveying for widening from a 2 lane to a divided 4 lane. Established property ownership.

US 281 @ Falfurrias 2.2 miles in Brooks County. Field surveying for right of way mapping and topographical survey. Right of way maps and parcel plats, field notes for acquisition, horizontal & vertical control for 225 picture points, right of entry, and utility locations.

Individual experience for boundary surveys:

Camino Colombia Toll Road, Laredo, Texas Benavides Tract right of way survey (22 miles) Webb County. Aerial mapping controls and right of way surveys.

FM 1464 - right of way survey project. Fort Bend County (2 miles).

TxDOT Houston District, FM 1960 - Topographic surveying for Digital Terrain Models for Harris County (2.5 miles).

Friendswood Development Company and Montgomery County - Loop 336 - Right of way and topographic survey for 6 miles of Loop 336 in Conroe, Texas.

Numerous boundary surveys in Montgomery and Walker counties for private land owners. Several of these surveys were adjacent to/or surrounded by the Sam Houston National Forest.

Five boundary surveys in Northeast Texas for the Texas General Land Office. These surveys were performed for the resale of Texas Veteran’s Land tracts.
